Tom & Michelle
Saturday 9 January, 2010
It’s always a pleasure to do a wedding at the Yungaburra Village Chapel and this special day was for Thomas Harvey and Michelle Taylor. Best man, Ben, circulated the rings for best wishes and blessings and mothers, Ruth and Colleen, lit candles for the couple just before Michelle graced the ailse with her father, John. Father of the groom, Gary, was the photographer and as a surprise and tribute to their love and support, all parents were part of the giving away ceremony.
‘True Love’ was the subject of the readings by Emma and Erin with this theme being reinforced by a hand-fasting ritual. This is a Celtic tradition in which the Bride & Groom’s hands are tied by silken ribbons as they make promises to each other. The couple then dedicated the ribbons to special children as a token of love and hope for their future.
Much love surrounded this couple and it was indeed a pleasure to bear witness to their marriage. Every best wish to Mr & Mrs Thomas and Michelle Harvey.
